I came into BBQ almost by accident as a judge at the 2007 Barrie Canadian BBQ Championships. After two days of eating bbq I was hooked. We entered our first Amateur competition that year and placed third. It took until early 2009 when we achieved our goal of placing first in an Amateur competition in Listowel. We've now been in one pro competition and realized how much there is to learn.
I'm interested in all things food, from fine dining to deep frying and beyond.

Is the glue that holds this team together. While this is not true, I do enjoy competing with this group of misfits. So far we have learned quite a bit through "trial by fire" on the circuit especially with friendly pointers from S&B BBQ and Happy Grillmore.
